To my beloved Cricket Fanatics...
Iam trying open a Pandora's box here ...
Has Ganguly reached the end of his road to his captaincy ??
Does he still have enough weapons in his armour to make an impression against the opposition.. with his awful technique in facing short balls..which he had fortunately managed to overcome all these years...partly because there were not enough good bowlers who knew how to bowl to him properly at the right placs..and partly because once the bowlers feed his offside..they get beaten arnd the park ...and in the process loose their mind and donot attck him with enough short balls...
All said and done..one has to admit that Ganguly has done a lot to this Indian team than any other captain before... with the master blaster tendulkar at the helm..he was keen in bringing in only ppl from his part of the state ...specially bombay blasters..
But ganguly..acted like a real Maharaja on the field.. he took into to confidence all youngsters in the team . and forged a formidable team.. yes its true that all credit shld not go to him..rather the selectors were also responsible for these players to come to the fore...
But its surely Ganguly's leadership that helped the youngsters like shewag,bhaaji,yuvi,kaiful,zaheer,nehra,pathan,kiddy-patel,...all come to the center-stage...inspite of their initial failures...ganguly gave them more chances to perform on the field ...
Its sad that once a Maharaja in his own elements ...now he is finding it hard to regain his past glorified batting nuances on field...
Probably its time for him to consider leaving his captaincy to dravid and try to enhance his batting skills..
Maybe... once he is back to his form..he can take back the captaincy again..

Haa haa :-) Standard bash ganguly's captaincy post :-)
I honestly think, Ganguly has to fix his batting to even stay in the team - let alone captaincy - I don't think we are in a situation to afford a non-playing captain !
Maybe... once he is back to his form..he can take back the captaincy again..
If Dravid captains well?
